Draft SKATS FY 2018-2023 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and Air Quality Conformity Determination (AQCD) Available

The Salem Keizer Area Transportation Study (SKATS) has released the DRAFT FY 2018-2023 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and associated Air Quality Conformity Determination (AQCD) for public review and comment.

The FY 2018-2023 Transportation Improvement Program guides investment in the area’s surface transportation for the federal fiscal years 2018 through 2023. The Air Quality Conformity Determination details how the projects meet the required air quality standards.

A 30-day public review and comment period of the TIP is required before any changes can be adopted by the SKATS Policy Committee. After the public review period, SKATS will hold a public hearing and adoption of the revised document at the April 25, 2017 SKATS Policy Committee meeting.

Information on the update is available through several documents and webpages:

  • A brochure is available providing information on the projects and the process.
  • An interactive map of the projects has been created that allows the public to comment on specific projects.
  • The draft document is available for review and comment until the public hearing on April 25, 2017.
