GIS and Mapping

The Technical Services Department performs a variety of GIS and mapping services for our members in addition to our programmatic published reports and documents. Our staff provide GIS (Arc/INFO, ArcView, AML, Avenue, MapObjects and ArcIMS) services to dozens of public, private and non-profit clients including cities, transit agencies, state agencies, watershed councils, commissions, hospitals, consultants, school districts, and county departments.

Our staff is experienced using Arc/INFO, ArcView, ArcIMS (interactive Internet-based GIS mapping), database and CADD applications.

The MWVCOG has implemented dozens of ArcView-based local agency GISs throughout Marion, Polk and Yamhill counties as part of the Mid-Willamette Valley Regional GIS Network Projects. This regional effort to extend GIS into capable and interested local agencies is ongoing. The MWVCOG can also help local agencies with their purchases of ESRI software and Azteca Cityworks software.
