Technical Services Department:
GIS, Data and Mapping

Welcome to the Technical Services web pages of the Mid-Willamette Valley Council of Governments. The Technical Services Department performs a variety of GIS, mapping, training, data, census, addressing, custom site analysis, Web-enabled GIS mapping and web development services for our members, non-profit agencies and private consulting companies. Additionally, we create and maintain a variety of reports and statistics in direct support of the MWVCOG programs.

The Technical Services Department has a decade of GIS-based, CADD-based and Census data warehoused on site. As part of our programmatic functions and past projects we have collected and maintain a variety of data including address listings, land use, zoning, population, employment, building permit activity, census data and natural resources inventories. We also have available a commercial grade consumer and business demographic data set for custom marketing or demographic analysis.

Looking for our School District, City/Public Agency, Police/Fire, Health Care, Social Services or Non-Profit services brochures?

The Technical Services Department also helps coordinate the Mid-Willamette Valley GIS User's Group quarterly meetings and web site. Look here for information on the next meeting.

Our eGovernment interactive mapping web pages are being hosted by this site.

Click here for a link to the clip of the School District Power Point presentation that discusses uses of GISs with available local governmental data for school district administrative activities. Activities such as bus routing, school security planning, facility inventory planning, enrollment projection and boundary optimization.

Please contact Juan Carlos Torres at 503.588.6177 for more information about these services and programs.
