Community Development
Infrastructure Financing Projects

The MWVCOG Community Development department's economic development professionals help assist local governments with public works and other community development projects.

Typically, our staff provides assistance with the initial planning and preparation of grant or loan applications to state and federal funding agencies. After project funding is secured, we often contract with the member government to provide grant administration and project management services.

These services are particularly valuable to smaller cities who don't have the resources necessary to successfully implement these sometimes complex projects.

The MWVCOG Economic Development professionals work closely with several programs including, the Community Development Block Grant Program, the US Department of Agriculture's Rural Development Agency, the Rural Investment Fund, the Safe Drinking Water Revolving Loan Fund, the Water/Wastewater Finance program of the State of Oregon, the US Forest Service Technical Assistance Grant program and the US Economic Development Administration.

A list of recent local governmental infrastructure projects can be found here.
