SKATS Transportation Improvement Program (TIP)

The SKATS Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) establishes the schedule and priority for the near-term (4-year) funding and implementation for the improvements called for in the adopted 20-year Regional Transportation Systems Plan (RTSP). The FY 2008-2011 TIP was adopted by the SKATS Policy Committee on May 22. 2007, and is effective on October 1, 2007.

The improvements in the adopted TIP are "financially constrained." Only those projects and programs for which funding is reasonably anticipated are included. Project selection and funding allocations contained in the TIP are developed through a cooperative process facilitated by the MPO (SKATS) and reflect active participation by area jurisdictions, agencies, interest groups, and citizens. The TIP is updated every two years.
